Principal's Corner

Welcome to Witter Ranch Elementary School! My name is Erik Jones, and I am very proud to be serving as the principal of Witter Ranch Elementary, a school that is excelling in so many ways. I believe that we will continue to be an excellent school, one that exemplifies excellence with the Common Core Standards and the Natomas Unified School District Vision- “All NUSD students graduate as college and career ready, productive, responsible, and engaged global citizens.” 

Witter Ranch Elementary School is in year seven of AVID. Here is a little information about me:

I bring to Witter Ranch over 30 years of educational experience and practice serving at the middle school in Hawaii, and middle and high schools in the Sacramento area. I was a teacher at Natomas Middle prior to becoming an assistant principal at Natomas Middle. I then became an assistant principal at Natomas High and then Principal at Natomas Middle. I look forward to expanding my growth in education in learning and serving at Witter Ranch Elementary. 

I attended University of California at Davis, California State University of Stanislaus, University of Hawaii, Manoa, and National University. My wife and I have 3 sons, who are mostly out of the house now, and we enjoy outdoor activities, reading,  and gardening.
